CCR Draft #4

I integrated technologies - software, hardware, and online - in this project. I used a laptop to complete my magazine. The websites Canva and Publisher were used to create and design my magazine. I did online research on different magazines, so I can get ideas on how to design mine. Without online resources, I would not be able to create a magazine. I used Microsoft Publisher to get the layout of my magazine and how I want to design it. I then used the website Canva to get the creative and stylish ideas. I found fonts that would compliment my magazine and pictures. Another source of technology that I used was my phone and a camera. I used my phone and my friend Lexi's cannon camera to take pictures for my magazine. I also used my phone for research on my magazine and how to perfect it. I created a social media page on Instagram to advertise my magazine. Overall, without the use of technologies integrated in my magazine I would not be able to create the most appealing and creative magazine.

My production skills developed throughout this project by making revisions throughout this whole year. At the beginning, I was unsure on how to design my magazine. The research process helped me decide how I want to style my magazine. After researching, I got ideas on how to design, style, and incorporate ideas from similar magazines. I have always been good at taking pictures, so I started off with a good set of pictures. Throughout the process, I was able to take more pictures with better settings. I worked with different font styles and colors to see which would best compliment the pictures and background. The text in my articles became more insightful later on in the development. I used the website Canva to perfect my magazine and make it more appealing. My use of technology improved throughout this process. I became more aware of how I can improve the conventions on my magazine by using websites such as, Canva and Microsoft publisher. The process of taking pictures also improved by using different devices to take them. I started off my using an iPhone X and then later start using my friend Lexi's cannon camera. I figured out what types of pictures would look good with the style of my magazine. Overall, my production skills significantly improved throughout this project. 

CCR Draft #2

My product engages with audiences by using social networking sites, such as Instagram. My main target audience is aimed towards anyone who is interested in travel or looking for a permanent home. Instagram is a number one social networking website, that will expose my magazine to all ages. Someone will eventually share a post, which starts a chain reaction thus promoting the the post even further. Social media builds audiences, which helps in marketing my product in an effective way. My magazine's sales in stores engages audiences to purchase my magazine. It would be distributed as a real media text by using a well known travel magazine distributor. If I were to pick a production company to produce and distribute my magazine it would probably be National Geographic. They are a very famous magazine company that has many links to distribution companies, that could help me with distribution. 

CCR Draft #1

My product uses the same conventions as a regular magazine. The layout of my magazine is similar to a regular magazine. I chose to use eye catching pictures that fit my magazine. The clothes used on the interviewee's showcases that this magazine is about travel on the water. On my cover page, I used fonts that would compliment the theme of my magazine. The font styles fit the travel theme. I used large fonts styles to appeal to the readers. On every page, I used the same water mark showing the magazine title and page number, which helps differentiate between the title and issue date. The color of my fonts compliment my magazine and are meant to be eye catching to the readers. I used text that would make the readers want to read more. On my contents page, I pictured things in Sarasota, Florida. I listed some of the contents in my magazine that you can expect to read about. I increased the fonts on the pictures, so readers can find these pages in the magazine. On my first article page, I used a layout that challenged ordinary magazine conventions. The pictures I used were bright and eye catching. The text under the pictures showed the reader what you can experience while on vacation. The main picture on my page of AJ, is a very vivid picture, that shows the beautiful Florida waters. On my second article page, I again used pictures to show what you can do in Florida. I gave text descriptions under each picture and talked about a vacation lifestyle. All my magazine pages included a theme of colors that would compliment the travel feel. My magazine represents the social groups associated with the genre of travel. The main issues depicted in my magazine revolve around a perfect vacation gateway. My magazine is quite persuasive in showing that Florida cannot compare to any other vacation spot of home. As you can see in the magazine, it persuades you to vacation to the beautiful Florida. The magazine persuades you to a relaxing vacation like no other. This can lead to more tourist attractions, more money intake, and gain population. 

Distribution Plan

For my magazine I plan to use the traditional distribution plan. I would choose to modify the traditional distribution channel, and use a two-level distribution framework. The manufacturers will then distribute my magazine throughout supermarkets, drugs stores, convenient stores, or any store that promotes travel and on the water hobbies. For digital distribution, I would promote my magazine on social media platforms such as; Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. My magazine has a website, so readers can subscribe online and read without purchasing a paper copy of the magazine. Readers can also subscribe online and have the magazine delivered to them.
